Renit is a rental marketplace that connects tenants with verified rental properties and gives property owners tools to list and manage their properties. Renit is operated as an individual/sole developer service based in India.

We collect only the information needed to operate the Service:

• Phone number — to create your account and send a one-time password (OTP) for secure login.
• Profile information — such as your name and role (tenant or owner), and any details you choose to add.
• Property information — for owners: property details, locality, rent, amenities, and photos you upload.
• Application information — for tenants: the properties you apply to and related application details.
• Location / city — the city or area you enter to search, used to show relevant listings.
• Usage & device data — basic technical information used to keep the Service working and secure.

• To create and secure your account and log you in via OTP.
• To show verified listings, process applications, and enable communication between tenants and owners.
• To let owners publish listings and manage applications and tenancies.
• To maintain, improve, and protect the Service, and to prevent fraud and abuse.
• To respond to your support requests.

We send a one-time password (OTP) to your phone number to verify your identity at login. Your phone number is used for account authentication and essential account-related communication. We do not use your number for marketing without your consent.

When owners upload property photos, those images are stored on our cloud infrastructure (Amazon Web Services) and served through a content delivery network so listings load quickly. Uploaded content is used solely to display listings within the Service.

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS), hosted in the Asia Pacific (Mumbai) region. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls to protect your information. While no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, we take reasonable measures to safeguard your data.

We rely on trusted third parties to run the Service, including:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — cloud hosting, database, and file storage.
• SMS provider — to deliver OTP messages to your phone.
• Google Play — app distribution.

These providers process data only as needed to deliver their service and are bound by their own privacy and security obligations.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time (see “Your rights” below). Some information may be retained where required to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Renit is intended for users aged 18 and above and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be communicated through the Service where appropriate. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
